Kevin Zhan

Graduate student in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BICB), in the lab of Dr. Frank Albert.

Kevin currently is a Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BICB) PhD student in the Albert lab. In his thesis project, he aims to identify and characterize the causal natural DNA variants underlying trans-acting eQTL hotspots in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. He plans to employ an experimental model that incorporates genome engineering and higher-throughput screening of edited yeast strains for growth and gene expression phenotypes. He holds an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Outside of the lab, he enjoys running, hiking, and reading.
